Guess what I am doing????? Nah it really is not that crazy – I think
Every Sunday that it does not rain, I drag the cart
Love the cart.
Be the cart.
Started with 120 lbs for 12 minutes and I got down to 7:31 for 125 lbs. Now working on 130 lbs cause I am not gonna lie….I got addicted to the 400meters of fun.
Once again, I am getting ready for the next adventure. So my workouts are all in!
In April of 2017, I had enough courage and frankly enough skills to finally feel like I could jump into the WOD’s and keep up. I even took every summer Friday PM off. Why? So I could workout, clear my mind, free my thoughts from the magnetic powers that job likes to put out. My mind was good, my stamina improving SLOWLY and I felt clear. Really clear.
Big Lesson – take control of your schedule and do not negotiate with your life. Best year I have had in a long time.
So this is what I did – WODS 3 times a week plus Aimee once a week to keep me sorted and doing it right. When you see all these small people lifting crazy weight, you know it works. and of course my ADD pushes me want to be precise.
This is what Aimee makes me do – I swear it makes sense when I am doing it!

Now I track everything and every when I travel I have homework so that I do not let the job take over.
I hit a few goals this year – 225 one rep max deadlift and a 150 lb squat – when you meet goals – yup you get kinda hooked !
This is where I started…

This is what I looked like way back when…not healthy…but I was still having my adventures – me and Juma

This is me 10 years ago canyoneering in Utah in Zion

oh yeah – this is really me! Loved it – 180 lbs
what I am looking like now…check out the body fat improvement

and now

BUTBUT one thing I still cannot do…..that double under!!!! UUUGGGHH
2018 ts happening even if I shred my skin when the rope hits me
but now back to my ADVENTURE>>>>>
The West Highland way in Scotland, 157k from Glasgow to Ft. William. I am headed there with Wilderness Scotland.
This is all training for the ultimate hike – doing the wheel 500 miles of the CAMINO…just a matter of time!
and can I say that I absolutely love my SUNDAY workout group with Rachel – the weight Whisperer. This group and their fun just keeps me positive. You need those souls everyday.
I also had a great winter with my stained glass – check out my latest piece. A gift of gratitude.

and then check out these photos that Ryan from the gym tool – OMG how cool!

But with good comes sometimes bad that you have to work through…slightly derailed at the end of 2017, beginning 2018 – YUP torn rotator cuff
and so what does it mean – no excuse – They (crossfit) find me fitness. So I am working lower body all day, every day….
back squats, box jumps, kelt bell carries, GHD, step up with sand bag, bike, erg – they find a way to keep me strong – mind and body – and not let this be a setback and not let me be bummed – I think it is what they do when they talk about community – it breathes life into you. They scale my workouts or offer alternates so my body stays strong, not gaining weight and continue to improve on what I can do ( bit I swear my legs are tired) and not pants do not fit so well as my thoughts get tighter. Little tight just sayin!
and because i still think I can do anything I added this to my workout plan …another adventure with Bibi Juma
Five Boro Bike tour in New York City because Crossfit has convinced me I can still do anything.
and I got be honest – I have no idea how many miles this actually is.
You are always where you need to be and you have to trust that but now I think I need to go to Scotland and get me some liquid ibuprofen ( oh yeah it works) – the real stuff you.
See you in the UK…..
