Arzua to O Pedrouzo

Rained all day in Galicia but they say it rain 400 days in this region every so if you come on pilgrimage you must expect to walk many days in the rain. Quite muddy up hill and down .  No one looks up just hoods down, capes on,  focused on keeping moving.   It was quite quiet and a time for reflection for many who were getting excited for Santiago.

FYI Santiago de Compostela – Compostela means field of stars which light the way to San Juan holy remains.  James was the first apostle to be martyred actually beheaded and brother to John – In Spanish is name is Santiago – Parton saint in Spain

Total trek in the rain was estimated 15 miles or 21 km of mostly the same rolling hills – I counted 25 up and down !  Just a few pics in between drops.IMG_2965.JPGTough to get pics in rain. And by the way, rain stops nothing on the Camino.

By the way, I also tried octopus this week….just what you think it tasted like. Really I think a nice sauce would have made all the difference.
