This is by far the longest day of walking, 39k or 18 miles so we walk from 730 to 5pm. We do stop along the way for snacks and drinks but it is a big push that becomes thick with pilgrims, Many people have been out here for weeks and 100km is just a final big push so they rush . Lots of good energy and so much more

By the end of today you feet feel like they have doubled in size, you are stiff, cannot squeeze your knees enough to stand and your legs will roar at night
This woman came to help Ann – she is from Japan , 26 days on trail, just finished university and is studying to be a chef -can you tell what we do all day on the trail ??
Funny story -today we had lunch in a two and I heard some yelling from above. A little old lady was yelling down to me – hey pilgrim good luck and I yelled back – come with us and she said I cannot as I am 91 years old and have missed my chance – no worries I said – I will place a rock for you on the path.

Looks like fun! I’m happy for you. What did you do to to your knee?
