Feels like getting to the pilgrim’s route may be harder than actually doing it. Here was itinerary:
May 4th -Thursday 6pm departure, arrive Heathrow 6am, wait till 830pm flight (don’t worry – my itinerant soul always finds something to do) for a 14.5 hour layover to La Coruna. 24 hours after I left Newark , I FINALLY arrive in Spain. Spain is EASY, small towns take forever. I am in La Coruna.
From here we drive tonight to Samos to start the actual journey. This is me arriving in Samos at 1AM with the crazy taxi driver who had never left the city and only drove 100mph and I am not so sure he could see – lots of braking on curves.

I have not slept in two nights! I should be all kinds of charming when I finally meet the group.

‘I am in Galicia which is where our Evangelista Soto our great grand mother was supposedly from. It was part of the kingdom of spanish visigoths. Really Visigoths…. I think my DNA said we were also Norwegian. Ok so how come I did not get the green eyes. I did get the height gene.
This is just the cool Spanish architecture…..

You cannot beat the evening hangout and stroll at the plaza – gotta love spain…..although I will say I ate something today that I could not identify. It sounded like something I knew in Spanish but I think, I was wrong – ate it anyway.
9pm paseo – trying to get video to upload….
